Robotics Interfacing
(Grades 10 - 12; 2 Periods a week for one full school year 1/3 credit; Prerequisite: Robotics I , Computer Aided Drawing is suggested. )
This course explores advanced interfacing of robotic devices. Projects are arranged by the Instructor. Students will design and build a robot that can be controlled by a microprocessor. They will produce printed circuit boards that will control exterior motors. Students will also experiment with different types of sensors for input devices. The robot that they will design and produce will be programed to demonstrate both input and output programing capabilities. The student's work will be displayed at the annual Video and Technology Showcase on campus. Students are encouraged to enter their designs in competition at the state level.
This course fulfills the 1/3 addtional unit of the Arts requirement.
